Demographic Transitions Essay Example for Free
Segment Transitions Essay This task was truly fascinating and somewhat precarious. The result of this task was to figure out how to compose an unmistakable strategy. In my task, there were a couple of mix-ups that I submitted, for example, in the second step where I was told to put a medium measured container and, at long last I should paint little windows through which you could appreciate a submerged view. This specific guidance, be that as it may, was discretionary. I was likewise educated to paint bunches of cupboards, a little snare entryway, and windows to make the submarine considerably increasingly beautiful. I needed to make 3 items from the headings of others, in any case, I didnââ¬â¢t discover any blemishes in those ways. My involvement with building a submarine utilizing things found at home was exceptionally invigorating and instructive. I had encountered and achieved this sort of action when I was in secondary school in this way, for me it wasnââ¬â¢t new. My motivation for the task came when I was viewing the history channel where a specific show included a submarine, in this way, I recently took that thought and made my own submarine with various measured jugs and sticky tape. There were different articles to be made for this movement, however these were moderately simple and easy to make, as long as I followed the bearings. All in all, I had a very advancing and instructive experience. At the point when I at long last finished the movement, I chose to make alterations and utilize a medium measured container rather, just as paint on the extra/discretionary subtleties to make my submarine progressively practical and increasingly bright.

These two essays should be between 200-300 words and remember to focus on substance and not word count. Before submitting your application and essays, always remember to pr oofread and edit! One day my neighbors left the house and their two dogs, Peanut and Lucky to go to the store. They gave me permission to play with the dogs, but specifically told me to keep a close watch. I usually play with Lucky, the bigger one because he was more aware of his surrounding and did not bark as much, but this time I decided to take Peanut. While we were outside, a huge hawk came flying by but I didnt think much of it. I remember walking inside the house and returning to see the hawk flying away with Peanut in his claws. I didnt know what to do because I knew my neighbors would be home any minute. Shortly afterwards, I saw the hawk sitting in the tree but Peanut was nowhere in sight and thats when I really began to panic. I went next door with intentions to confess until I saw Peanut sitting on the porch. To this day I am the only one who knows that Peanut was almost eaten alive. Javaris A., thank you for letting us share your essay with future UGA applicants. Go Dawgs!

Essay Anne Bradstreets Contribution to American Literature
Up until the early 17th century, American literature was chiefly about politics, religion, and recorded events. These writings were very dry and lacked insight into the everyday lives of the authors. To put into writing any individual spiritual reflections that strayed away from the religion of the colony could be dangerous at that time; possibly resulting in banishment from the colony or worse. Likewise, any writing that did not serve at least one of the purposes listed above was considered to be a waste of time that would be better spent praising God. Anne Bradstreet defied the rules of her time by writing about whatever she wanted including personal thoughts, reflections, emotions, and events. Brads treet wrote extensively about her family. Her writings about her husband in particular were somewhat scandalous for that time. Bradstreet pours her heart into all of her works, but the poems about her husband really stand as a permanent testament to the depth of her love for him: ââ¬Å"My love is such that rivers cannot quench, Nor ought but love from thee, give recompenseâ⬠( ââ¬Å"To My Dear And Loving Husbandâ⬠166). Bradstreet even goes as far as comparing her husband to the sun: ââ¬Å"My Sun . . . His warmth such frigid cold did cause to meltâ⬠( ââ¬Å"A Letter To Her Husband Absent Upon Public Employmentâ⬠167). Bradstreetââ¬â¢s deep love for her children is also evident in her writings. She writes about raising and caring for her children: ââ¬Å"Great was my pain when I you bred, great was my care when you I fedâ⬠(ââ¬Å"In Reference To Her Childrenâ⬠169). She writes of her fears for her children: ââ¬Å"Let others know what are my fea rs / Lest this my brood some harm should catchâ⬠(168). She also uses her writing as means to admonish her children: ââ¬Å"Sore accidents on you may light. / O to your safety have an eye, / So happy may you live and dieâ⬠(169). Dark Lady in Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Sonnets free essay sample
Emilia Lanier: The Dark Lady in Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Sonnets For long centuries, two distinct, yet inextricably connected, mysteries have confounded the literary world. They are the actual identities of the ââ¬Å"Fair Youthâ⬠and the ââ¬Å"Dark Ladyâ⬠, the chief protagonists, other than the poet/narrator, in William Shakespeares sonnets. As the sonnets reflect a painful and complex triangle existing between the poet, the young man, and the dark woman, it is inevitable that theories as to the identity of one are employed to isolate the other. Scholars generally regard Henry Wriothesley, Earl of Southampton, as the youth. Virtually everything regarding his life conforms to his role within the verses; he was fair, privileged, and quite young at the time of the commencement of the sonnets. Two other elements greatly support this assertion. The first is that Southampton, once a ward of Elizabeths powerful minister William Cecil, evinced a reckless character and was reluctant to settle down and carry on the family line. We will write a custom essay sample on Dark Lady in Shakespeareââ¬â¢s Sonnets or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page This is perfectly in keeping with the relentless exhortations in the sonnets that the youth do so, for the sake of posterity. Then, there is the inescapable matter of his connection to Shakespeare himself. Only two letters exist from the author, and both are submissive appeals to the young lord for patronage. It is, in fact, very likely that Southampton did assist the young Shakespeare financially, which was a more than suitable, and typical, arrangement of the period. As for the lady in question, candidates have come and gone in scholarly favour. However, the unearthing of a diary in 1973 by Shakespearean scholar A. L. Rowse brought extraordinary new evidence to light, even as that scholars reputation as both an ardent Southampton proponent and overt confidence in his own theories have diminished what he sought to establish. Nonetheless, when all the facts and suppositions are examined, it seems most probable that Emilia Bassano Lanier, daughter of an Elizabethan court musician, was indeed the ââ¬Å"Dark Ladyâ⬠who has eluded the world for centuries. The ââ¬Å"Dark Ladyâ⬠makes her first appearance in Sonnet 127, and she remains an active presence through 152. There is mystery and strangeness in her very introduction, which is seemingly oblique; it is here that the poet first refers to both the fact of her being ââ¬Å"his mistressâ⬠, as well as to her ââ¬Å"raven blackâ⬠eyes (Shakespeare, Sonnet 127, line 8), but little more is said. Quite simply, she suddenly appears, and as a discordant element. In no time, her role in the life of the poet, as reflected in the verses, is uniformly conflicted and overtly sexual in nature. The poet experiences ecstasy with her, but the price is exorbitant and painful. She is, in a word, no good: ââ¬Å" worser spirit a woman coloured ill/ To win me soon to hell, my female evilâ⬠(Sonnet 144, lines 4-5). By Sonnet 146, the circumstances are dire. This dark-haired and raven-eyed woman is not merely using her sexual hold over the poet to drive him mad, she is as well conducting a relationship with the ââ¬Å"Fair Youthâ⬠exalted by the poet in earlier verses. The poet fears, in fact, that she has infected his young friend with a venereal disease (Schoenfeldt, 2010, p. 294). This is all highly specific content for a series of poetic verses. Throughout history, scholars have sought to assert that only the poets genius is at work in these poems; as a master playwright, he was simply creating characters and a dynamic in sonnet form as he did on stage, and these arguments have been largely fuelled by determinations that Shakespeare himself could not have been involved in so demeaning a triangle.
